Inclusive mobility to try out: special bike on the market square
On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Leichlingen Hilft will be on the market square in Brückerfeld from 10 a.m . – with a very special highlight: an inclusive special bike, which was kindly provided to us by the ADFC for one day.
The so-called “Fun2Go” is an electric tricycle in which two people sit next to each other. One person steers, both can pedal – but don’t have to. If you just want to ride along, you can comfortably rest your feet on a footrest. The side-by-side seating position makes the bike not only practical, but also ideal for conversations on the go. Exercise becomes a community experience here.
Mobility without barriers
Especially for people with physical disabilities, senior citizens or caring relatives , this bike opens up new possibilities: be mobile, without hurdles, without a driver’s license – just be there and ride along.

We invite everyone to try out the bike for yourself!
In the expected summer heat, we offer short trips to the bus station – a welcome relief for all those for whom the journey on foot is too strenuous. Of course, short practice laps on the course are also possible at any time.
“I was immediately in love with this bike”
“I got to know the inclusive bike about a week ago at the Round Table for Inclusion – and immediately fell in love,” says Önder Balkaya, initiator of Leichlingen Hilft.
“It would be my wish to have such a bike permanently for our initiative – as an opportunity to meet, as an opportunity to participate, as a sign for more togetherness in Leichlingen.”“Unfortunately, we currently lack the financial means for this – but who knows? Perhaps it will become an achievable goal one day through the support of foundations, organizations, private individuals or companies.”
