On Friday, July 18, 2025, the time had finally come:
Our first open play action under the motto “Playing connects generations” took place in the new city park (near the playground).
And what can we say? We are thrilled!
We didn’t know what to expect. Will the weather hold? Will anyone come at all?
But punctually at 4 p.m. everything was set up – tables, games, rental material – and then the first families arrived.
☀️ An afternoon full of encounters and exercise
The weather was ideal: warm, but not too hot.
The action was planned from 4 to 6 p.m. – but the atmosphere was so lively and warm that we didn’t dismantle until 8 p.m. with a smile.
It was a constant coming and going: Some stayed for a short time, others stayed a long time – many came by spontaneously.
Drinks were provided: There was enough water for everyone, and later we even ordered pizza, which we enjoyed together in the shade.
👧👵 Young meets old – and everyone plays along
What we were particularly pleased about:
Children who didn’t know each other before played football with our mini goals.
Others curiously asked about games they had never seen before:
“What is that?” – “How does it work?”
We explained, played along, showed – became players in Frisbee, badminton, chess, Mikado and much more.
Particularly touching: Two small children couldn’t decide – we suggested a tea party with sand toys .
A brief flash in their eyes – and they were already immersed in the game.
And the best thing: Everything came back, often even cleaner than we had spent it.
