Cooking together 29.03.2023

Cooking and eating are important parts of living together in every culture. They offer not only the opportunity to feed, but also to meet, share experiences and make friends. This concept is also practiced in Leichlingen, where every Wednesday at 6 p.m. a joint cooking and eating event takes place to strengthen integration and togetherness.

On 29.03.2023 the 11th joint cooking took place, where raclette was on the menu. There was a lot of nibbling, but it was worth it! Homemade rolls, herb butter and a few dips, including aioli, ajvar and herb butter, rounded out the menu. The dessert was topped off with a delicious meringue. As always, it was a nice evening and it tasted good too.

The project “Cooking together” is carried out in cooperation with the AWO and is open to all, with or without a migration background. The idea is to create meetings, activities, contacts and friendships through cooking and eating together, which can be useful also outside the common activities. The project aims to bring together people from different cultures and promote mutual understanding and integration.

Participation in the project is free and open to all. It is important to us that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can participate in our activities. However, registration is mandatory to allow for accurate planning of the number of participants. The venue is the Evangelical Free Church congregation in Leichlingen.

If you would like to participate in this project, you can register on the website or contact us directly. We are looking forward to meeting you!
