How do I find a kindergarten place?

Refugee children have the same legal right to a place in kindergarten from the age of one as German children. As a rule, this is done after assignment to a municipality or registration granted.

In order to assert the legal claim, you must register on the website
https://portal.little-bird.de/suche register.

In the search mask, fill out the fields “Child’s date of birth”, “Zip code” (42799), “City” (Leichlingen) and “Start of care” in the online form and click on “Search for care”
