Invitation to picnic together in the city park – Last cooking before the summer vacations.

for five months now, the Common Cooking has been held every Wednesday, which began as an idea and has become firmly established since January 2023. This regular event has become a popular meeting place where people of different cultures and backgrounds come together to cook, eat and share.

To properly celebrate our last cookout together before summer vacation, we are planning a picnic at the New City Park behind City Hall on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, starting at 5 p.m. In doing so, we would like to enjoy eating and sharing together outdoors and take advantage of the beautiful atmosphere of the park. Each participant is asked to contribute something to the picnic, whether it’s a homemade dish, a delicious side dish or a refreshing beverage. Please be careful not to bring any food with pork in it. Drinks (water, apple juice, orange juice) and bread will already be provided.

The picnic provides a wonderful opportunity to further strengthen community and enjoy new culinary experiences. It is an opportunity to discover the variety of food brought and the creativity of each participant. We are excited about the delicious surprises that await us and look forward to a social time outdoors.

In order to plan better, please register in advance and let us know how many adults and children you will be coming with. You can send us your registration by private message, comment, cell phone, email or by registering on our website.

Furthermore, we would like to ask you to bring cutlery, plates and glasses for your own use. Since this is a shared picnic, we do not provide disposable tableware. By bringing reusable tableware, together we contribute to the sustainability and environmental friendliness of the event.

Finally, we would like to inform you that the Common Cooking will continue to take place regularly on Wednesdays as usual after the summer vacations. The first meeting after the vacations is scheduled for 09/08/2023, and we will prepare Japanese dishes together. Also during the summer vacations, various activities for young and old are planned, such as cooking jam together, making crepes followed by a movie night for children, as well as excursions and much more.
