On 26.04 it was time again: The project “Cooking together” in Leichlingen took place again. This time there was a culinary trip to Thailand. The fellow cook had chosen the recipes and prepared a delicious meal with the group.

At the last joint cooking, which took place on 19.04, Bulgaria was the focus. The group prepared a delicious meal consisting of a cold cucumber soup, a mixed salad, baniza in a flash (stuffed puff pastry with eggs and feta cheese) and stuffed peppers with rice and minced meat. The dessert was a homemade Easter cake from dear Larysa. It was a culinary delight!

On 29.03.2023 the 11th joint cooking took place, where raclette was on the menu. There was a lot of nibbling, but it was worth it! Homemade rolls, herb butter and a few dips, including aioli, ajvar and herb butter, rounded out the menu. The dessert was topped off with a delicious meringue. As always, it was a nice evening and it tasted good too.

We all gathered together in the kitchen and prepared Syrian dishes. There was Arabic bread, falafel, cheese baked goods, tabouleh (parsley salad) and hummus. It was a pleasure to learn about the different flavors and spices and to see how everyone cooked together.

Although this time the participants had to wait a few minutes in the cold, the atmosphere was great. As always, we had a lot of fun and it was very tasty!!!
